You have three options: private car transfer (~2 hours, from 500,000 COP per vehicle), helicopter (20 minutes, from 9,200,000 COP), or public bus from the Terminal del Norte (~2.5 hours, ~18,000 COP per person). We arrange door-to-door pickup from any hotel in Medellín.

Yes. We pick you up at the international airport (Rionegro) with a name sign and flight tracking, and take you straight to Guatapé (~1.5 hours, from 340,000 COP in a sedan). Ideal if you want to reach the lake the same day as your flight.

The Medellín–Guatapé leg takes about 20 minutes. We also offer 6 or 12-minute panoramic flyovers of the lake departing from El Peñol, from 390,000 COP per person on a shared flight.

It's roughly a 1-hour tour of the lake's 14 iconic spots: Pablo Escobar's vault and La Manuela estate, the homes of James Rodríguez, David Ospina and Amparo Grisales, the Old Peñol Cross, Fantasy Island, the panoramic view of La Piedra and more. It includes a guide, life jackets and insurance.

It depends on the vessel: sport boat (1–6 pax), medium pontoon (up to 16), large pontoon (up to 40), private yacht (up to 10) or water taxi (up to 16). Message us on WhatsApp with your group size and we'll send the exact price right away.

Yes. Our water sports include a certified instructor who teaches you from scratch. Tubing requires no experience and is suitable from age 6 with a life jacket. All equipment is included.

Weather in Guatapé changes fast and a short shower doesn't usually cancel the tour. If conditions aren't safe, we reschedule at no cost or refund your money. Safety always comes first.

It's floating lodging on the lake for up to 4 people, with 2 bedrooms, an equipped kitchen and a waterside terrace. You reach it by boat (included). You literally sleep over the lake, with the El Peñol sunrise in front of you. It's the most original experience in the area.

Yes: a couple's apartment, a 4-person apartment (2 bedrooms) and a 6-person apartment (3 bedrooms), all facing the lake with an equipped kitchen and WiFi.

Yes, it's the most popular day trip from Medellín. Leaving at 7:30 you can do the lake tour, climb El Peñol, have lunch by the water and return by nightfall. That said, if you can stay a night (apartment or houseboat), the experience is much more complete.

Sunscreen, sunglasses, a cap, comfortable clothes and a change of clothes if you do water sports. To climb El Peñol, comfortable footwear (it's 740 steps). The climate is mild (18–26°C) but the sun over the lake is strong.

Guatapé is a year-round destination. December–January and July–August are high season (more atmosphere, more people). February to June and September to November are quieter and cheaper. Weekdays are always less crowded than weekends and holidays.
